Privacy Policy
This is a translation for your convenience. In case of doubt, the German version of this privacy policy is the legally binding one.

2. Overview
This app (“SpielEntdecker”) collects as little personal data as possible. There are no user accounts, no registration, no forms and no newsletter. We only process the data technically required to run the app, plus anonymous usage statistics collected without cookies (see point 5).
3. Hosting & server logs
The app is hosted on Google Cloud Run (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) in a data centre within the EU (region europe-west4, Netherlands). When you open the app, technically necessary access data is processed (e.g. shortened IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) in order to deliver the app and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in stable and secure operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with the hosting provider.
4. Cookies & local storage
This app does not set any cookies. The only things stored locally in your browser are small technical display flags (e.g. whether you already closed the installation hint) and the offline content of the PWA (see point 6); no consent is required for this.
5. Google Analytics 4 (server-side, without cookies)
To analyse usage anonymously (e.g. page views, started audio, game ratings), our server sends events to Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Your browser has no contact with Google in this process: no cookies are set, no device identifiers are collected and your IP address is not passed on to Google. The events only contain the page you visited, game and trail names, the selected language and random per-visit identifiers without any personal reference, which are kept in memory for the duration of the visit only and are not stored on your device. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in anonymous reach measurement (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR); no consent is required, as nothing is stored on or read from your device.
6. Offline use (PWA)
The app can be installed as a Progressive Web App and used offline. To make this possible, a service worker stores app content and audio files in the local browser cache of your device. No personal data is transmitted to us in the process; the data stays on your device and can be deleted via your browser settings.
7. Your rights
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria (dsb.gv.at). To exercise your rights, please contact the controller named under point 1.
